There are many ways to connect your printer to a Wi-Fi network. I have provided you an easy method for the printers without touch display using a USB cable.

  • Disconnect the existing USB cable from your computer to the printer if any.
  • It is advised to connect the USB cable back to its position only when prompted by the installer.
  • Based on the instructions in the installer, you will be able complete the installation successfully.
  • Install the software or driver for your printer to connect your computer and the printer to a Wireless network.
  • Choose the Connection type as USB at the time of installation if prompted by the installer.
  • Your Printer driver can be installed either by using the installation CD or it can be obtained from the respective website(s).
  • Once the installation is completed, your printer is connected to a Wi-Fi network using a USB Cable.

Connect Lexmark Printer to a Wi-Fi network

Note: Only certain printer models come with this capability.

Before you start, confirm that:

  • Auto is selected for Active Adapter. Go to Settings > Network/Ports > Network Overview > Active Adapter from the control panel.
  • Press to access the settings on printer models without touch screens.
  • The printer is not linked to the Ethernet connection.

Using the printer’s wireless setup wizard

Notes: 

  • Only a few printer models are covered by these instructions.
  • Make sure the printer firmware is updated before running the wizard. Update firmware for more information.
  1. Touch > Set up now on the home screen to begin.
  2. Type the network password after choosing a Wi-Fi network.
  3. Tap Done.

Using the printer’s Settings menu

  • Go to Settings > Network/Ports > Wireless > Setup On Printer Panel from the control panel.
  • Press to access the settings on printer models without touch screens.
  • Type the network password after choosing a Wi-Fi network.

Note: During initial setup, a prompt to configure the Wi-Fi network occurs on printer models that are Wi-Fi network ready.

Lexmark Mobile Assistant usage

  • Download the Lexmark Mobile Assistant app from the App Store or Google PlayTM, depending on your mobile device.
  • Choose one of the following, depending on the model of your printer:
    • Touch Settings > Network/Ports > Wireless > Setup Using Mobile App > Printer ID from the home screen.
    • Navigate to Settings > Network/Ports > Wireless on the control panel. Installing a Mobile App >
    • To view the printer ID, adhere to the directions on the display.
  • The printer’s wireless network SSID is its ID; 
    • Note: Launch the app from your mobile device, then agree to the Terms of Use.
  • Choosing Connect to Printer Navigate to WiFi Settings.
  • Your mobile device must be connected to the printer’s WiFi network.

How to Connect Lexmark printer to WiFi Without CD

If you’re using Windows, install the most recent software before adding a Lexmark printer.

  • First, join a WiFi network on your PC.
  • Install applications and printer drivers before clicking the Windows icon.
  • Select “Printers and Scanners” from the Device settings menu by clicking on that option.
  • Select the add printer option after clicking on the name and model of your printer in the list.

How to Connect Lexmark printer to Computer

  • Connect to the power plug and turn on your printer.
  • Next, choose Network Settings from the Windows icon.
  • Examine the network settings, and system ports, and connect the laptop’s ethernet connection.
  • A setup window will show up along with a list of available Wi-Fi networks.
